And the British Sky News network quoted the Scottish Ministry of Health as saying that 3 new infections had been detected with the Omicron mutant, bringing the total to 9.
In general, Britain recorded 14 cases of the new mutation, which prompted many countries to declare a state of emergency and suspend travel and flights.
