The Syrian cinema attended with screenings of modern films during the festive activities of the Culture Days, amid a mass audience in Damascus and the governorates.
The films that were produced by the General Film Organization dealt with issues related to the reality of the war. The Director General of the Foundation, Murad Shaheen, explained in a statement to SANA that the decision to participate in the celebration of Culture Days because of the role of the seventh art and that it is the most popular art that reaches people quickly and because it constitutes a need for a person, not a luxury. .
"Through this celebration, we presented a bouquet of the Foundation's latest productions in most of the cultural centers in the governorates to be closer to the Syrian audience," he said, noting that the Foundation is working to spread awareness and cinematic culture among different segments of society with the aim of developing the cinematic process in Syria in a real way.
It is noteworthy that the film screenings during the celebration began with a special screening of the institution’s latest productions, the movie “The Last Breakfast” written and directed by Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid at the Opera House to include the presentation of seven feature films: Damascus, Aleppo by Basil Al-Khatib, Maward by Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed, Amina for Ayman Zeidan, A Man, Three Days and Darb. Al-Sama for Joud Saeed, and the judiciary responded to Anzour’s rescue, and the lover of Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid.
