The New York Times considered that the battle against the new mutated Omicron from the Corona virus is fragmented globally.
The newspaper pointed out that the countries of the world dealt with the emergence of Omicron in a piecemeal way in a painfully familiar cycle of tracking the first cases, exchanging accusations and preventing travel, which has always hindered dealing with the pandemic.
The new mutant sparked a state of alert and panic in the countries of the world, many of which rushed to suspend flights from southern countries on the African continent, where Omicron appeared for the first time, and quarantine procedures returned again.
