Yafit, from the first days of Channel Two, passed away today (Tuesday), after a battle with cancer.
She was only 70 when she died.
Greenberg is now laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery.
Upon learning of her death, many posted eulogies on social media, including opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, who wrote that c.
Yafit "was imbued with a deep love for Israel. She had wisdom and sharpness that were always combined with human warmth. With her own hands she built her successful business and her name went before her as a decent and reliable marketing authority. She was a wonderful mother to her son Eyal and a loving wife to my son."
Journalist Sarit Yishai Levy paid tribute to Greenberg: "I am saddened by the death of Yafit, an amazing, groundbreaking, generous woman, entrepreneur and businesswoman, whom I got to know closely. She left too soon. May her memory be blessed."
Media man Yuval Amrammovich praised her on his Facebook page: "Her illness was an open secret in the advertising industry and in the world of books," he said.
"G. Yafit, for those who do not know, was the owner of the Steimatzky chain. For me, she was a partner and guide for over a decade."
Greenberg was the owner of the advertising group "G. Yafit Communications", which united several companies, and was in fact one of the pioneers of marketing content in the press and on television.
She also owned the Steimatzky bookstore chain and the Golf fashion chain.
Her only son, Eyal Greenberg, is the CEO of Golf, and is married to former model Maya Yeshayahu.
