Three students were killed and six people, including a teacher, were injured today in a high school shooting in the Oxford countryside, north of Detroit, Michigan, USA.
AFP quoted the Acland County Sheriff's Office in the US state as saying in a statement that a 15-year-old student was detained and a gun seized after the high school shooting that left three dead and six wounded.
And Fox News quoted US security official Michael McCabe as saying that the situation is very tragic. We have a lot of upset parents.
Shooting incidents in the United States are common in light of the widespread phenomenon of violence in American society and the laws that permit the possession of individual weapons.
