The designated Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) has made another important personnel decision for his future work.
According to SPIEGEL information, he has chosen Anja Hajduk from Hamburg as head of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate.
She is to assume an important coordination task for Habeck in the future federal government and thus play a key role for the Greens.
After the two party leaders Annalena Baerbock and Habeck filled the ministerial posts last week, it is now about the important posts of state secretaries who organize and prepare the actual work and decisions in the ministries.
Hajduk, however, has a special position because she maintains contact for Habeck with the other ministries in the federal cabinet.
The 58-year-old was Hamburg's Senator for Urban Development and Environment from 2008 to the end of 2010 under the CDU Mayor Ole von Beust.
She therefore brings a wealth of experience to the government business, it is said from the Habeck environment.
Born in Duisburg and studied psychologist, she has been a member of the Bundestag for many years and is considered a budget and financial expert.
In the case of the Greens, it is more likely to be attributed to the Realo wing, which can also make pragmatic decisions.
It attracted attention when it approved the construction of the new hard coal power plant in Hamburg-Moorburg in September 2008.
In the Federal Ministry of Economics, Habeck has to fill another three state secretary posts.
