At least three students were killed and six others, including a teacher, were injured in a shooting incident that occurred today (Tuesday) at a high school in Michigan in the United States.
According to Mike McAfee, Oxford County Sheriff, the suspect in the shooting, a 15-year-old boy studying at an Oxford town school, has been arrested in possession of a seized semi-automatic pistol.
Later, as mentioned, he was arrested.
However, he has not yet learned what the motives for the murder are in a town about 48 miles north of Detroit.
American networks reported that at the scene of the incident there are many more police vehicles and ambulances.
"We are continuing to conduct searches throughout the building to locate more victims," McAbay added.
Tim Theron, the county superintendent of public schools, said he still did not know the identities of the dead or whether contact had been made with family members.
"I'm in the market, I'm broken," he told reporters who tried to extract information from him.
Upon receiving the initial report that there was an active shooter in the compound, the school went into a state of closure, prompting students who remained inside the building to lock themselves in classrooms while police searched for the shooter.

Michigan Sen. Rosemary Bayer responded to the tragic incident with tweets on her Twitter account: "I am absolutely shocked by what is happening. I have offered my help. My heart goes out to everyone involved. I call on anyone who has information about the incident to share it with police."
