Special Envoy to Caracas
General Baduel (66 years old) died in excruciating suffering on October 12, 2021, in a cell in the Hélicoïde, an avant-garde concrete building built in the 1950s. This building was to be the pride of the people. Venezuelans, as the largest and most modern shopping center in Latin America.
It became, under the Chavist regime, a place of detention and torture for political prisoners managed by Disip, the intelligence services of the Venezuelan government.

In April 2002, when the Venezuelan right attempted a coup against Hugo Chavez, it was he who allowed Hugo Chavez to return to power, playing a central role in the reaction of the armed forces.
