(On the authority of a good man among you) .. a new collection of short stories by the writer Ayman Al-Hassan

In his new short story collection, “About a Good Man Among You,” writer Ayman Al-Hassan goes to topics he drew from reality to reflect through life issues and concerns.

The collection, which included 19 short stories, focused on the structure of storytelling according to a convincing literary logic for the recipient, and dealt with events that the imagination worked on.

The group’s storytelling methods varied and differed from one text to another, while preserving the artistic composition and literary language that is close to everyone. The story “Not an Illusion” differs in its beginning from the story “Two Alternatives” and the sequence of events also differs with each story through the presentation of topics and the transformations of events.

In some stories, the good writer begins the event directly and maintains its logical sequence of movement, as stated in the story “A Big Child” when he compared the child to his father, and the stories “The Light” and the story “Abu Haidara”.

In other stories, Al-Hassan changes his style, embroidering the texture of his writings in a poetic language, borrowing its aesthetics and words from the universe and nature.

In some of his stories, Al-Hassan also deals with psychological concerns and problems to present social visions through events and ideas that accompanied the topic and the way it was presented, as stated in the story “Not an Illusion.”

In his stories, the good writer conveys images from the painful human reality and what is going on during it, in the story “Two Alternatives” in addition to the history of the victories that the Syrians achieved in multiple battles, the most important of which is the October Liberation War and the destruction of the myth of the Zionist occupation entity.

It is noteworthy that the collection “About a good man among you” is issued by the Syrian General Book Organization, and it contains 174 pages of medium volume.

The writer Ayman Al-Hassan held a number of literary and cultural positions in the Ministry of Culture and the Arab Writers Union.
