Baldwin's interview with Stephanopoulos marks the first time the actor has spoken at length about the incident.

The incident, which remains under investigation, has led to renewed calls to improve security practices on sets with regard to the use of weapons.
Baldwin called for a police presence on set to help film and television productions control the safe use of weapons.
"All film and television sets where weapons are used, whether fake or otherwise, should have a police officer on set, hired by the production, to specifically oversee gun safety," Baldwin tweeted. earlier this month.
