A car driver went nuts on Wednesday night in Poing: First he sped around wildly in the area of the market square, then he drove towards a local resident.
Poing - Apparently a car driver was crazy who caused noise and turbulence in the area of the market square in Poing on Wednesday night.
According to the police, several calls were received from residents at around 0.40, who reported "a wildly driving car with an overly loud exhaust" (quote from the press report by the Poing police station).
The car is said to have already made numerous laps.
Poing: Local residents tried to stop motorists
While a patrol crew was looking for the vehicle, the police received another report: A 26-year-old resident was able to stop the car and wanted to confront the driver.
"After a brief argument with the stubborn driver, he drove off in the direction of the man until he touched his knee with the front bumper," reported the police.
The driver then put his red Audi back a few meters and drove off again towards the 26-year-old until the bumper hit his knee again.
The resident was unharmed.
Then the Audi drove away.
Police Poing finds the vehicle
On the basis of further information from the population, the police were able to locate the vehicle with the engine still warm in a nearby underground car park.
The investigation into the driver is currently ongoing.
According to Poings Police Chief, Chief Police Officer Helmut Hintereder, investigations into attempted dangerous bodily harm and coercion have been initiated.
It is also checked whether the loud exhaust system fulfills the operating permit.
