The Food and Health Bureau announced a mandatory test announcement tonight (1st). A 38-year-old male resident living in Block 2, Haitao Bay, Tai Kok Tsui, was diagnosed at the airport on Tuesday (November 30) when he arrived in Hong Kong from an outbound trip, except Outside the residence, the three premises of the Central Restaurant ICHU and the Cathay Pacific Airport VIP Lounge Huanyutang visited by the patient before leaving Hong Kong are included in the compulsory testing list. The tested persons must be tested on or before December 3 (Friday).
Patients travelling to Doha, Qatar, returning to Hong Kong with low viral load
The CHP stated that it is investigating an initially confirmed imported case involving a 38-year-old male patient.
He lives in Block 2, Haitaowan, 38 Cherry Street, Tai Kok Tsui.
He traveled to Doha, Qatar on November 9th, and tested negative for COVID-19 on November 8th before leaving Hong Kong.
He arrived in Hong Kong via flight QR818 from Doha, Qatar on November 30. When he arrived in Hong Kong, he took samples from the temporary sample collection center at Hong Kong International Airport and tested positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease.
According to the center, the patient has no symptoms and a Ct value greater than 30 means that the disease is low and confirmed to have the L452R mutant virus strain (N501Y and E484K are negative).
He received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine (Fobitai) in Hong Kong on June 20 and September 12.
The epidemiological investigation and follow-up of the case are still in progress.
For the sake of prudence, the places the patient had lived and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.
Anyone who has been in the relevant specified place during the specified period must undergo mandatory testing on the specified day.
Those who have been to the three places at the following time are required to undergo compulsory testing, which is limited to be completed on or before December 3. Those who have completed the COVID-19 vaccination must also undergo the above-mentioned compulsory testing.
If the test has been done from November 29th to December 1st, it will be exempted.
People who have been to the Cathay Pacific Lounge on the 7th floor of the Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1 from 6 pm to 7 pm on November 9
Those who have been to ICHU on the 3rd floor of H Queen's, Central from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 9th
Those who stay at Tower 2, Haitao Bay, Tai Kok Tsui for more than two hours from November 9 to December 1

In addition, there was an outbreak of upper respiratory infection and/or influenza-like illness in Tsung Tsin Hui Mei Shan Kindergarten in Po Lam Village, Tseung Kwan O. Those who have been in the school for more than two hours between November 18 and December 1, must be on December 3. The test will be accepted on or before the day; if the subject chooses to use the sample bottle distributed by the Center for Health Protection for testing, he must return the test sample collection bottle that has been sampled on or before December 5th.
If the subject has been tested or vaccinated between November 29 and December 1, it will be deemed to have complied with the requirements of the mandatory testing announcement.
