The former coach shared in an interview in Spain about his coping with the disease: "There is no guaranteed cure, the most important thing is to never give up. As a coach I demanded the players to be the best they can and now I demand it of myself."

Former basketball coach David Blatt was interviewed by Spanish website DAZN tonight (Wednesday) and told about his struggles with multiple sclerosis, which he has struggled with since being diagnosed about two years ago.

"First thing - never give up," Blatt began, adding, "You get up in the morning and every day is different, not every day is good. But you have to deal with it, be open and honest with yourself about what you can and can not do. Or How much to push yourself to do a little more, to be positive, to be proactive about the care and help you can get. "

He added: "There are many types of MS and I can say that none of them are easy to deal with. A lot of things happen to people in life, not just this serious illness. The question is how do you choose to deal with it."

Blatt said he regularly exercises in the swimming pool and various exercises that help him keep himself as strong as possible.

"There is no guaranteed cure for these serious illnesses. A lot of it has to do with your motivation and your attempt to be your best version. As a coach I have always demanded this from my players, and now I demand from myself."

To conclude, the coach added: "Your life does not end with multiple sclerosis. It's just another challenge you have to face, and you need to get the chance to prove yourself and be the best version you can be."
