The branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in As-Suwayda announced the extension of subscription to farmers to purchase potato seeds, the product of the national project, ranked Elite, until the ninth of this month.
The director of the Corporation’s branch, Engineer Wael Al-Taweel, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the subscription for the willing farmers is carried out in accordance with the agricultural license and on the available seed varieties within the corporation’s warehouses, which include Apamea, Aya, Furat, Palmyra, Qamarin, Sham, Yara, Shamra and Beroya.
The branch manager indicated that those wishing to subscribe must pay a deposit of 500,000 pounds per ton.
The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in As-Suwayda produced about 418 tons of potato seed as part of the national project for open fields and net-houses for the current year.
