France announced today the resumption of flights with southern African countries, starting next Saturday, in parallel with the imposition of radical restrictions that only allow the entry of French citizens and citizens of the European Union, in addition to diplomats and air crews.
These travelers are subject to a screening test for COVID-19 upon arrival, with mandatory quarantine for seven days, even if the result is negative, and quarantine for ten days if the result is positive, according to government spokesman Gharbia Lal Atal, following a weekly government meeting.
And France is among many countries in the world that suspended flights from southern Africa during the past days, after detecting the “Omicron” mutant.
