The World Health Organization announced today that Europe has become the epicenter of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, and that the delta mutant is the dominant one in it.
Reuters quoted an official in the organization as saying that there is a lot that we do not know about the omicron mutant, but we have no reason to believe that its incubation period is different from any other mutant of the Corona virus, indicating that more than 40 mutations associated with the omicron strain have been detected.
The discovery of the new mutant in South Africa caused strong reactions around the world, as many countries restricted travel to southern African countries and imposed other restrictions for fear of its rapid spread, even among previously vaccinated people.
