Japan has recorded a second infection with the omicron mutant of the Corona virus, amid growing fears that the new strain will spread rapidly.
And Kyodo News Agency stated that the Japanese authorities began vaccinating health care workers with the third dose of the vaccine against the Corona virus, provided that vaccinations with booster doses continue for all population groups.
As part of other measures it has taken to contain Omicron, Japan has expanded and imposed quarantine measures on all foreigners, including residents with long-term visas who have recently visited any of the 10 African countries where widespread infection of the mutated Omicron strain of the Corona virus is likely.
