López Obrador affirms that there are no reasons to fear omicron

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said that there is no need to fear for the new variant of covid-19, as there is still not enough information to know if it is more contagious or not than previous mutations.

In addition, he affirmed that the country has enough vaccines to start applying booster doses to older people and teachers.

For his part, Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary of Health, assured that omicron will arrive in Mexico at some point, so they must prepare for it.
