London: four ideas to celebrate Harry Potter's 20th anniversary in the British capital

In addition to the essential spots linked to the saga, a few new features have recently emerged in the English capital.

A flying statue in Leicester Square

This statue bearing the image of the young wizard was unveiled in October 2020 in Leicester Square - a stone's throw from Covent Garden, but did not receive the publicity it deserved, the fault of Covid.

Open this summer, this new exhibition is devoted to behind the scenes of the filming of the

Harry Potter

saga

.

It brings together hundreds of photos taken on the sidelines of the eight successive films.

We see the main actors captured on the spot but also

behind-the-scenes

videos

, comments from actors and directors, and the costume worn by Daniel Radcliffe to play his legendary character. The exhibition also testifies to the good atmosphere which reigned on the sets of the successful saga. In addition to the photographs and some decorations, the exhibition also provides the opportunity to have a souvenir photo taken on the famous Quidditch broom. Placed in front of a green background, it is fixed at mid-height, allowing to obtain a photo customized according to the universe of Hogwarts. A bar dedicated to

butterbeer

will then give the visitor the opportunity to taste this emblematic drink of the wizarding world.

The whole thing ends with a souvenir shop, where you can find a membership card for the Ministry of Magic, magic wands or the famous scarves of the Hogwarts uniform.
