On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and the 74th Anniversary of the Resolution of Partitioning Palestine, the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Society held today a political symposium on the amphitheater of the Arab Writers Union in Damascus.
And the Palestinian ambassador to Syria, Dr. Samir Al-Rifai, indicated that solidarity with the Palestinian people is by showing the cause, supporting it, and keeping it in the consciences and minds, and it needs national unity and a solid Arab stance.
Ambassador Al-Rifai indicated that Syria stood with the Palestinian cause in a practical and field manner, and the distinguished thing this year is the movement of friends of the Palestinian cause in Europe and the Americas, a phenomenon that is happening for the first time and confirms that there are those who stand by the Palestinian people, and this is an important indicator.
In turn, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Ali Reza Aitee, made it clear that the Zionist project and its ambitions in the region did not change its essence, but rather its methods, indicating that victory and confronting Israeli projects will only be achieved through the path of resistance.
Aite pointed out that the drawn relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria has turned into a strategic relationship with the two sides helping each other until they are able to defeat terrorism of all kinds, especially economic terrorism, pointing out that Syria has succeeded in defeating terrorism and its army is recovering and that the resistance axis has gained high experiences in this war. He succeeded in turning the threat of falling into an opportunity to rise and rise.
The Yemeni ambassador in Damascus, Abdullah Sabri, said that the battle with the Zionist enemy is economic, cultural and media, and the important thing in this battle is that there be a strategic vision for the axis of resistance in support of the Palestinian cause, explaining that the Palestinian right is regained through resistance and not through settlements and concessions, and the conflict with the Zionist entity is an existential struggle.
The head of the Arab Writers Union, Muhammad Al-Hourani, referred to the role of the Arab thinker and creator in raising awareness about the dangers of normalization, indicating the need to deepen the culture of resistance and to keep the resistance thought present in all our curricula.
The symposium was attended by a number of representatives of the Palestinian resistance factions in Damascus, the Director General of the Al-Quds Foundation, Dr. Khalaf Al-Muftah, the head of the Syrian Arab People's Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, Dr. Saber Falhout, and the Chargé d'Affairs of the Venezuelan Embassy in Damascus Joachim Komizzouz.
On the 29th of November of each year, the Palestinian people and the world commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly in 1977, emphasizing the right of the Palestinians to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
