A literary prize inspired by Marcel Proust, which was chaired by Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, announced on Wednesday resignations from its jury, including that of Patrick Modiano, after rape accusations against the former star journalist.
Endowed with 2,000 euros, and sponsored by the Daniel Iagolnitzer Foundation, the Prix du temps regained has lost not only its president, but also half of its jurors.
There are only four left, all writers: Emmanuelle de Boysson, Alessandra Fra, Héloïse Guay de Bellissen and Denys Viat.

If we trust the initial list of jurors unveiled by the specialist magazine

in October, the four resigning are more renowned writers: Patrick Modiano (Nobel Prize for Literature 2014), David Foenkinos (Renaudot Prize 2014), Jean -Paul Enthoven (Femina Essay Prize 2013) and Amanda Sthers.
The prize is due on December 13 at the Ritz hotel in Paris.

The PPDA case erupted in February, when journalist Florence Porcel filed a rape complaint.
As part of the preliminary investigation conducted by the Nanterre prosecutor's office, 23 women had testified, nine of whom had chosen to file a complaint for rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment.
The majority of the charges were time-barred, these complaints were dismissed in June, prompting Florence Porcel to file a complaint again, in November, with the constitution of civil party to obtain the referral of an examining magistrate.
