The Sawa theater group presented the “Professor.. Priest of Truth” show, written and directed by “Rowad Ibrahim”, on the stage of the House of Culture Palace in Homs this evening, as part of the 24th Homs Theater Festival held by the branch of the Artists Syndicate in Homs.
The show dealt with the reality of the intellectual and thinker with knowledge, knowledge and an enlightened mind who is trying to change reality and society for the better, but it collides with obstacles, negative people and influencers and their attempts to distort life in its entirety.
Ibrahim, the director of the work, talked about the importance of the participation of the Sawa Troupe in the Homs Festival, as it is an occasion to review the results and thought of the youth group, considering that what the teams present today is a continuation of the theater’s message and what the great playwrights presented on stage.
For his part, Amin Roumieh, head of the branch of the Artists Syndicate in Homs, said that the public attendance gives a positive impression, and this has characterized the performances that have been presented so far, noting that the Homs Theater Festival since its inception has established an entire generation that loves theater and attracted young people due to its cultural, intellectual and cognitive status. .
Although the performances that are presented now are not the same as the performances of the previous sessions of the festival in various respects, according to the opinion of the journalist and playwright “Mohammed Khair Al-Kilani”, the Homs Theater Festival is still one of the most important festivals in Syria. and culturally important.
The actor “Ali Al-Saleh” who plays the role of the intellectual mentioned that for the first time he stands on the stage of the stage that he dreamed of standing on since his childhood, pointing to the role of youth in supporting the theatrical movement and that the festival constitutes an opportunity for talented people.
Tomorrow will witness a theatrical performance by the Latakia branch of the Syndicate of Artists entitled “A Night That Didn’t Happen”, written by Abdul Nabi Al-Zaidi and directed by Hashem Ghazal.
