Dimona resident, HIV-positive, was arrested last night after the police received complaints from women that he had seduced them into meeting with him for a fee.

Police arrested tonight (Tuesday-Wednesday) a 31-year-old man from Dimona, carrying HIV, on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against women of low socio-economic status who he knew on a social network and infected them.

Complaints from two women submitted to the police revealed that they knew the man on a social network, and while meeting with him he provided them with drugs and committed sexual offenses for payment.

The suspect was taken for questioning, and later in the day there will be a hearing on extending his detention in the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court in his absence, as he was evacuated to the hospital after his arrest because he suffered a seizure.

This is a suspect with previous convictions for fraud and spread of illness, for which he ran a prison sentence of several years and was released from prison several months ago.

His name has not yet been released, but police intend to ask the court to reveal his identity.
