A 43-year-old Palestinian man, a resident of Jadira, arrived this morning (Wednesday) in his car from the direction of Judea and Samaria to the al-Jib crossing, where the border guards of the Jerusalem Envelope are stationed.
Fighters operating at the scene arrested the suspect, who was armed with a knife.
There were no casualties in the incident and the suspect was taken for questioning by security officials.
A statement issued by a Border Police spokeswoman said that "the fighters identified a suspect vehicle with a knife in his hand, aimed his weapons at him and immediately the suspect threw the knife from his hand."
