The 33-year-old truck driver was involved in pushing a woman off the track at the Tuen Mun Light Rail Tai Hing North Station last Sunday (28th). The woman was injured and sent to hospital.
The driver was arrested afterwards and charged with one count of intentional assault.
The case was brought to court today (1st) in Tuen Mun Court, and the hearing will be postponed until December 3, pending the identification procedures. The defendant has not applied for bail and must be remanded in custody pending trial.
The defendant, Yau Junle, was charged on November 28, 2021, on platform 2 of Daxing North Station of the Light Rail Transit, Dafang Street, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong, with intent to injure Xu Yanhong illegally and maliciously.
