After the victim accepted the reparation of the damage, the crime that Hoffman was originally accused of, possession of child pornography, was reclassified to discrimination, the Prosecutor's Office reported.
Thus, after spending five months in the Santa Martha Acatitla prison, in southern Mexico City, Hoffman avoided going to trial.
Had she been found guilty, she
could have faced up to 14 years in prison.

Why was
YosStop
imprisoned
?
Yoselline Hoffman, the 30-year-old YouTube star, was arrested on June 29 of this year, after admitting that he had received, reproduced, stored and publicized the video of the rape in 2018 from Ainara Suárez, of whom it was referred to as "a prostitute" who deserved what had happened to her.

Suárez's defense, led by Javier Schütte, emphasized the verbal aggression suffered by his client, who was then 16 years old, by a person who did not know her.
On May 25, 2018, Suárez was raped at a party by four young men who inserted a bottle of champagne into her genitals and recorded it in a video they shared with their friends and on social networks.
After the video went viral, Suárez received death threats and was even beaten by a group of young women in a park in the south of the city.
It was in this context that Hoffman issued his comments about the victim.
Only two of the five men involved in the case (four directly for the rape and the fifth for spreading the video) have been detained by the authorities.
