Training of 113 teachers for adult education in Aleppo and its countryside

Aleppo, SANA- The Directorate of Culture, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Aleppo, has started an alternative learning program for youth outside schools

The Directorate of Culture, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Aleppo, started an alternative learning program for youth outside the school by training 113 teachers on content that contributes to familiarizing them with how to deal and teach this category.

Dr. Nadia Al-Ghazouli, director of the National Center for the Development of Educational Curricula, explained in a statement to SANA that the first phase of the “Alternative Learning for Out-of-School Youth” project will train specialists from the National Center and the Educational Measurement and Evaluation Center, as well as specialized teachers from Aleppo education for age groups from 15 to 24 years, to advance the skills of They have reading, writing and arithmetic in addition to life skills and enhance their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Ibrahim Masso, director of education in Aleppo, indicated that the program contributes to compensating for educational losses and eradicating illiteracy for the youth group, numbering 1,600, indicating that trained teachers will be distributed to more than 100 classrooms in the city of Aleppo and its countryside.

In turn, Jaber Sajour, Director of Culture in Aleppo, pointed out the importance of rehabilitating the young generation and developing its scientific capabilities, pointing to the need to spread culture among the various segments of society, which contributes to achieving sustainable community development.

The central trainer, Nabough Ayoub, indicated that work is currently underway to compose three study units at the National Center for Curriculum Compilation that include reading, writing and arithmetic for the age group that was unable to pursue their educational attainment, in addition to enhancing their life skills and enabling them to enter the labor market.
