US Secretary of State Ned Price has announced a series of heavy sanctions on senior Iranian officials, including the Revolutionary Guards Commander Golmarza Suleimani and Iran's Supreme Security Council Secretary Ali Shimkhani.
"His country is imposing sanctions on eight senior Iranian officials including Ali Simchani, secretary of the Islamic Republic's Supreme Security Committee and Basij commander Golmarza Suleimani, who is responsible for the deaths of more than 1,500 innocent civilians. We will continue to make sure Iran pays for its crimes," Ned Price wrote. On the social network Twitter.
The commander of the Revolutionary Guards spoke shortly after the announcement, ostensibly regardless of the decision to impose sanctions on him, and delivered a particularly threatening message to the United States and Israel.
"Our big real problem, and the main enemy of the Islamic Republic, is the United States. The Zionist regime will not see the future and there is nothing to worry about in the long run. Once we threw stones at Tel Aviv, today we aim and fire missiles at it," the Iranian official said.
Commander of the Revolutionary Guards' base force, Golmarza Suleimani,
"If you hear the voices rising from the Zionist entity you can understand that it is in a deep existential crisis. The United States is leaving the region after it is defeated and its allies are disappointed. The model of the Islamic Republic will be the one to rule the entire Muslim world," Suleimani said.
