Arriving there, Abu Shenab and Adon tried to reach the buyer-policeman's vehicle, wearing gloves and masks and one of them carrying an air pistol, in order to rob him of a sum of NIS 145,000, which according to the agreement was supposed to be exchanged with them.

When the cops jumped on the two, they tried to escape on foot, but were stopped a few steps away by the combined force of the police. The third tried to escape in the vehicle but was also caught within a short time.



The incident in Haifa was the final act of the investigation, which until then had been covert. The seizure of the gang took place near a playground, with police officers chasing the criminals with weapons drawn. Children playing in the playground near the scene said they saw "soldiers running after someone and shouting at him". The indictment also mentions another case that occurred three days earlier, in which Issa, Musa and Mahmoud Abu Shenab committed robbery while wearing masks and equipped with a gun.

During this robbery, ten thousand shekels were stolen.

Simultaneously with the filing of the indictment, the State Attorney's Office requested that the detention of the six be extended until the end of the legal proceedings.



Police have seized four vehicles, a computer and mobile phones of the defendants and if convicted, the prosecution will seek to confiscate them in favor of the state treasury.
