Erwin Koeman, the outgoing coach of Betar Jerusalem, will arrive today at the training complex in Beit Vagan to say goodbye to the players and members of the professional team.
In closed conversations, Koeman shared with club members that one of the main reasons for his resignation is the fear of his health condition, having undergone open heart surgery two years ago.
In those conversations, Koeman said, among other things: "Two years ago I got my life back. I will not return to football anymore, because the heartbreaking event can return."
And who will be Koeman's replacement?
In view of the club's difficult financial situation, Betar is considering asking Mussi Mizrahi, who works in the youth department, to stand on the lines until the end of the season. The Haim Sylves option is still out on the agenda.
