After the police received the report yesterday (December 1), the Criminal Investigation Team of the Kowloon City Police District arrested a 52-year-old man surnamed Lai in Kwai Chung today (2nd) for indecent assault. , And seized his mobile phone and driving recorder.
The arrested man is now being detained for investigation.
It is understood that the arrested man, surnamed Li, reported that he was a professional driver and knew the female victim on the car-hailing app. He had been called to get acquainted with the female victim many times. On the night of the incident, the female victim called for a vehicle. She was on Oxford Road in Kowloon Tong. The car was taken to a secluded place on Dakang Road, Beacon Hill, Shek Kip Mei, where someone borrowed words to drive her away ghosts and blatantly insult her.
The police reiterated that according to section 122 of the Criminal Offences Ordinance, Chapter 200, indecent assault is a criminal offence and the maximum penalty is 10 years’ imprisonment. The public should not try the law.
