The Lattakia branch of the Syndicate of Artists presented a theatrical performance titled “A Night That Didn’t Happen” on the stage of the House of Culture in Homs this evening, written by Abdul Nabi Al-Zaidi and directed by Hashem Ghazal, as part of the 24th Homs Theater Festival organized by the Artists Syndicate.

The show, which was attended by a large audience, revolved around the two characters “The Bride and the Groom” and dealt with the long life of the Syrians in terms of pain and pain since the beginning of the war on their homeland, which cast a shadow over all life, and the youth were the most affected groups, as some of them had to travel and the dreams of others failed.

The director of the work, Hashem Ghazal, stressed the importance of this festival, which presents the products of artists from all governorates and contributes to the circulation of theatrical performances through festivals to see the works of others and achieve the benefit that develops theatrical work in general, pointing out that the Lattakia Artists Troupe used to participate in the Homs Festival, through which it presented what She has a lot of ideas to bring to the public's taste.

Actor Mustafa Janoudi pointed out that this is his third participation in the Homs Theater Festival, which young artists who love the stage want to be constantly present, especially as he presents his shows to an educated, aware and follower audience, which motivates the playwrights to develop their performance and provide the best.

The director and actor Tammam Al-Awani also saw that the Homs Theater Festival is not only for the artists of the province, but for all the artists of Syria, as it hosts, in its few days, performances from Homs and other provinces to learn about the creativity and talents of Syrian playwrights and benefit from them to create a sophisticated civilized situation that contributes to supporting the artistic movement and providing it with an important theatrical generation .

The audience also had opinions, as Hassan Bilal, Faten Moussa and Zuhair Eid confirmed that the performances presented so far vary in technical and performance levels from one band to another, and this is both natural and important so that the audience is aware of the level of performances and through that can develop their artistic and aesthetic taste.

Tomorrow, as part of the festival’s activities, a monodrama by Ebla band will be presented, entitled “Containers without a Homeland,” written by Qassem Matroud, represented and directed by Muhannad Zidani.
