The Greens have decided which MPs should support the ministers as parliamentary state secretaries. Annalena Baerbock brings the two Green defense politicians Tobias Lindner and Katja Keul to the Foreign Office as ministers of state. Lindner belongs to the party's Realo camp, Keul to the left wing. The Hessian Green MP Anna Lührmann is planned for the third post of Minister of State in the Foreign Office.
The Greens Europe expert Franziska Brantner, who originally worked for one of the posts, will be parliamentary state secretary in the economic department, which will be led by the Greens chief Robert Habeck as minister.
The second surprising personality can also be found in his tableau: Michael Kellner, previously Political Director of the Greens, will also become Parliamentary State Secretary in his department.
There is also Oliver Krischer, previously deputy parliamentary group leader.
He also changes position and becomes Parliamentary State Secretary in Habeck's Ministry of Economics and Climate.
The personal details were confirmed to SPIEGEL by a spokeswoman for the party.
The ministers of state in the Federal Foreign Office support the minister in her governmental tasks and also repeatedly represent the boss at international meetings.
A permanent state secretary will also be appointed from the Federal Foreign Office.
Foreign Minister-designate Baerbock will have to get into day-to-day business immediately after her appointment, probably next week.
Traditionally, as Foreign Minister, she will visit the closest European partners in Europe very quickly; she has announced that she will make her first trip to Brussels.
Positions in the Agriculture, Family and Environment departments have also been confirmed
Ophelia Nick and Manuela Rottmann become Parliamentary State Secretaries in the Ministry of Agriculture.
The department is to be led by Cem Özdemir in the future.
The family politician Ekin Deligöz and the social politician Sven Lehmann go to the family department, which is headed by the previous Rhineland-Palatinate Climate Minister Anne Spiegel, as parliamentary state secretaries.
In support of the designated Environment Minister Steffi Lemke, the previous environmental policy spokesperson Bettina Hoffmann and the building policy spokesperson Christian Kühn are moving to the ministry as parliamentary state secretaries.
