In order to secure medical services for citizens, the General Authority of Daraa National Hospital returned the CT scan device to service, after completing the repair of a malfunction that caused it to stop working.
The director general of the authority, Dr. Bassam Hariri, told SANA reporter that the device covers a large number of patients and saves them the burden of transportation or paying large sums to the private sector, pointing out that the staff working on the device takes an average of about 30 photos per day.
Al-Hariri added that the authority always carries out the necessary maintenance for medical devices, and the staff working in the engineering department contributes to repairing emergency malfunctions within the available capabilities.
It is noteworthy that the CT scan was put into service with the authority in 2010.
