Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that he did not rule out holding early presidential elections in his country after the adoption of the new constitutional amendments.
Regarding these elections, Lukashenko said in an interview with Sputnik: “It can be held on time at most, but there may be early elections on the basis that the president decides that or that other dates for elections will be set in the transitional provisions of the constitution.”
On the other hand, Lukashenko doubted that these elections will be held next summer, considering that the country is three or four years away from them.
