The workshops of the General Electricity Company of Homs began repairing faults caused by the strong weather and rain that the governorate witnessed yesterday, and led to the exit of some tension lines.
The director of the company, Engineer Saleh Omran, indicated to SANA reporter that the company’s workshops have completed repair operations for the 20kV lines “Al-Herafieh-Ghazaleh-Al-Nasiriya-Shamseen” duplex 1 Tier Maaleh 1/ while the repair operations of the Coke line and Weibdeh line are continuing.
Omran indicated that the weather conditions caused the fall of a medium tower with a wooden pole of medium tension on the Ganto branch, and a wooden pole of medium tension fell and another tilt on the basement line. Most of them are repaired.
Yesterday, Homs witnessed scattered rainfall, the highest of which was 22 mm in Qalaat al-Hosn and Marmarita 19 mm, Nazareth 17 mm, Shain 8 mm, al-Aridha 7 mm, and Tal Kalakh 1 mm as a result of the country being affected by a low air extension attached to a cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.
