Dear subscribers,
Since Brexit, the petty quarrels that punctuate the relationship between France and the UK seem to have become insoluble.
They accumulate to the point of fueling a real bilateral crisis.
A mocking mind could see in this a contrario demonstration of the strength of the European link, because there was a time when these differences would have been settled, necessity by law, through dialogue and consultation between co-members of the EU.

The Channel of Discord
Drownings.
On November 24, an inflatable boat overloaded with mostly Kurdish refugees sank in the English Channel, about 20 km from the French coast.
Twenty-seven people died, including seven women (one of them pregnant) and three teenagers.
Three survivors were recovered by the French coast guard.
This is the heaviest toll for a tragedy that has become too frequent (we deplore ten other drownings in November).
