The Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV) is introducing a new regional bus line with the number 459 for the timetable change. This runs from Monday to Friday during rush hour from the S-Bahn station Poing (south side) every 20 minutes via Neufarn, Parsdorf and Weißenfeld to the exhibition center in Riem and back.
First departure in Poing is at 5.46 a.m., last arrival time in Poing at 11.16 p.m.
The journey time is 22 minutes.

Every hour this line also serves the communities of Hohenlinden (there the first departure of the day is at 5:56 a.m. from the Gasthof zur Post), Forstinning and Anzing. This line fulfills the demand for an alternative to the S-Bahn that has been cherished for years, especially in Poing.
As the MVV announced on Wednesday, there will be further changes and expansions in regional bus traffic in the north of the district.
For example, line 460 (S-Bahnhof Poing-Nord - Grub - Landsham - Pliening - Gelting - S-Bahnhof Poing) will be “significantly expanded”, says the press release: “In rush hour, it will run every 40 minutes in future and traffic in both directions, so that in all parts of the town there is an option to travel to the S-Bahn every 20 minutes, sometimes with significantly shorter travel times. "
Poing: Further innovations in regional bus transport
On line 464 (S-Bahn station Poing Nord - Mitterfeldring / Stahlgruber - Bergfeldsee - S-Bahnhof Poing), according to MVV, more trips will be offered on Saturday evenings, "so that there is a continuous 20-minute cycle until the end of operations at midnight" .
The MVV regional bus line 468 is also being introduced as a connection between the northern and southern Poingen municipal area.
This was also an often mentioned request from the local council and administration in Poing.
Changes also for other communities
Further changes from December 12th in the district of Ebersberg: In the future, trips on route 444 will also be offered on Sundays and public holidays.
Line 446 will be served much longer during the week and will serve Anzing, Forstinning, Forstern and Hohenlinden, informs the MVV.
The bus routes 451, 465 and 466 can in future stop directly in front of the main entrance of the Humboldt-Gymnasium.
An hourly service will also be introduced on line 452 on Sundays and public holidays.
As the MVV also announced, due to the introduction of the new line 459, the route of the regional bus line 466 will be adjusted: In future, it will only run from Baldham to Parsdorf, but with more trips every 40 minutes.
In September 2018, the municipality of Poing organized a one-time express bus to the Messestadt underground station at its own expense - to draw attention to the need for an alternative to the S-Bahn.
