According to the Bureau, one of the demonstrators who attacked the forces with fist blows in the face had to be arrested.
He was charged with assault.
Four lateral thinkers were arrested for insulting police officers.
Congregation was broken up after 15 minutes
The fact that the evening would not bode well was already evident 15 minutes after the start of the demonstration (6 p.m.) on Wittelsbacher Platz.
At this early point in time, the action with around 300 participants was called off by the meeting leader himself, because a large number of them did not want to adhere to the current mask requirement.
Then there was a split: According to the Munich police headquarters, 140 people tried to leave Wittelsbacher Platz in a westerly direction.
Without masks, without spaces.
The train was stopped by the officers.
Arrests after beatings and insults
"In turn, other participants in the original meeting independently registered a new meeting and adhered to the conditions," says the Presidium.
This train was able to move on in the direction of Ludwigstrasse in compliance with all the rules and carried up to 600 people at peak times.
The scuffles and arrests then came when radical lateral thinkers tried to join this new demonstration - but without adhering to the guidelines.
