The technical workshops of the branch of the Syrian Telecom Company in Al-Hasakah completed the repair of the damage caused to the telephone cables that were subjected to theft and sabotage at a number of points in the city of Al-Hasakah after a break of about 3 months.
The director of the company’s branch, Dr. Jamil Bilal, indicated to SANA’s reporter that the telephone cables in the first center of Hasaka were stolen and sabotaged by unknown persons, who cut and stole them from the neck of the cables in 6 consecutive telephone rooms, which led to shortening and damaging the cables and isolating the connection of the city’s neighborhoods by telephone.
He pointed out that the maintenance workshops, through continuous work for two weeks, completed the repair and maintenance work in the Marshaw area and a number of telephone points within the city of Hasaka, and the telephone service was restored to about 1,500 subscribers, noting that the workshops are continuing to repair the rest of the telephone lines whose cables were stolen in a number of neighborhoods City.
It is noteworthy that many subscribers in the neighborhoods of Al-Aziziya, Al-Salihiya, Al-Nashwa Al-Sharqiah and Al-Gharbi, Al-Sharia and Ghweran Gharbi neighborhoods in the city of Al-Hasakah are still deprived of telephone service as a result of the theft and sabotage of telephone cables during the past few months.
