The Organization of Bus Drivers in Israel from the Histadrut said in the matter of the incident: "This is crossing a red line. The blood of the drivers and in this case also the passengers, has become desolate. We are satisfied with empty slogans and promises. We call on the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Internal Security to act.

"Recognizing bus drivers as public servants will deter and save their lives and the lives of passengers and cause drivers and passengers to be behind bars. Law enforcement agencies must act one hour earlier. Without driver resourcefulness, this serious case could have turned into a heavy disaster. Buses and drivers are a symbol "The government is therefore attacking them and the drivers are paying a heavy price. The blood of the drivers and passengers has been abandoned."
