Bnei Sakhnin chairman Muhammad Abu Yunis protested the decision, which came following the violation of the facility’s business license: “There are many good souls who want to do us harm. We will not play anywhere except Doha "

Bnei Sakhnin received a notice today (Thursday) from the Ministry of Economy regarding the closure of Doha Stadium, due to a violation of the facility's business license.

The violation came in the last league game against Beitar Jerusalem, when one of the unoccupied stands, with 1,700 seats, was filled to capacity.

The decision was made to bring an audience to the stands, due to a large shortage of entrances.

Doha Stadium has a permit for about 5,500 spectators, but in practice, according to the Ministry of Economy, there were about 7,000 fans, of whom about 500 were from Jerusalem.

As early as the next day, Sakhnin may apply to the court to revoke the closure order.

"We will act with all our might, we will fight the decision," said club chairman Muhammad Abu Yunis, who added: "There are many good souls who want to do us harm.

Not given to them.

We will not play anywhere but Doha. "

The league administration is working in parallel to transfer the national league game of Bnei Reina, which hosts its games in Sakhnin, from Doha.

Meanwhile, Sakhnin will go to an away game in Hadera on Saturday.

Coach Sharon Mimar will continue with the 11 that have started in the last two games against Hapoel Nof Hagalil and Betar Jerusalem.
