Omicron panic:
A vaccinated doctor from Sheba who recently returned from the UK was revealed today (Thursday) as verified to a variant from South Africa.
As of this moment, there are a total of three verified in the omicron strain in Israel: verified vaccinated with Astraznica who returned from Malawi, verified vaccinated with a phaser including a booster who returned from South Africa and the doctor who is vaccinated with a pesticide including a booster.
There is also a high suspicion about another 30 cases of variant exposure for which their final results have not yet been obtained.
Of these: 24 are unprotected (unvaccinated or recovering who have passed half a year since recovery or vaccinated in a second dose that has passed half a year since the date of vaccination) and another six are protected.
Of those 30 cases, 11 are returning from abroad or have come in contact with a return from abroad and another 19 have not been abroad recently.
