The Joint Committee of the Iranian Nuclear Agreement held a new session of talks within the framework of the seventh round of negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement at the Coburg Hotel in the Austrian capital Vienna.
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported that today's meeting was held at the level of assistant foreign ministers and political directors of the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the 4+1 group headed by Iran's chief negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani and European coordinator of the Vienna negotiations Enrique Mora.
The meeting of the Joint Committee of the Nuclear Agreement was held today at the request of the European parties because they wanted to study the proposed texts of Iran in the capitals.
Iran had handed over the texts of its proposals to the 4+1 group and the European Union, and Bagheri Kani said: His country expects the other parties to provide legal responses according to logical evidence on the Iranian side's proposals.
Bagheri made it clear that Western powers cannot reject Iran's proposals because they are based on the terms of the 2015 agreement, pointing out that there is a third proposal that Tehran will present as soon as the other powers agree to the first two proposals.
In a related context, Enrique Mora, the EU's assistant foreign policy official, said that the final meeting of the Vienna negotiations will take place today. Mora said on his Twitter account today, "The Joint Committee for the Nuclear Agreement will hold its final meeting this afternoon to draw the results of the negotiations that took place this week."
And last Monday, in the Austrian capital Vienna, discussions of the Joint Committee of the Iranian nuclear deal between Iran and the major powers resumed, with a focus on canceling the US embargo imposed on Iran in one go, in return for its return to full compliance with the text of the agreement.
