Almost a disaster: An F-15 made an emergency landing, training flights were stopped Israel today

As part of a routine training flight, a malfunction was detected in one of the wheels of the aircraft. • The crew tried to deal with the malfunction, without success, and a complex landing was made.


During a routine training flight held today (Friday) of a "Thunder" fighter jet, one of the air crew fighters noticed a malfunction in one of the wheels of the plane that did not descend as required.

The crew attempted to deal with the malfunction and after not being addressed, performed a complex emergency landing procedure, eventually landing the aircraft on two of its three wheels.

Prior to landing, crew reported to the base about the incident, and medical and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene.

Air crew fighters landed safely and were evacuated in a light condition to the hospital to perform general tests, as a precaution.

The plane was damaged and was taken for questioning and maintenance.

The incident is being investigated.

The commander of the Air Force, Major General Amikam Nurkin, instructed following the incident the curfew on flights in the F-15, except for operational activity.
