Farchach - Next year the Bachhausen fire brigade will get an extension to their fire station in Farchach. How the house should look afterwards and what innovations are planned, commander Markus Doll presented to the Berger municipal council on Tuesday. The approved the planning and the renovation, which will cost around 270,000 euros.
Doll also mentioned the reason for the conversion again: "The purchase of a second vehicle." This is necessary because the Bachhauser fire brigade has over 40 active members. "With us, people drive their private vehicles because otherwise we wouldn't bring them out," he reported. That is also legally questionable. The volunteers are all the more looking forward to the new team van, which can accommodate nine firefighters. Speaking of women: During the renovation, the fire station is finally getting a ladies' room. "Without it, it is no longer appropriate in 2021," stated the commander.
Doll has been working intensively with the cultivation for a long time and has played through different variants. The best in his opinion is to extend the existing house by five meters. The extension jumps forward by 1.30 meters compared to the existing facade, he described. “This gives us more space, including for the traffic routes within the building,” he said. This is also necessary in order to comply with the regulations. After a structural change like the one planned here, grandfathering no longer exists. “We have to keep the traffic routes,” he emphasized. That means, for example, that the changing rooms have enough space and, above all, the ways to them. Therefore, the new vehicle will also be in the annex.
There is also a redesign on the upper floor, in the fire brigade's training room.
Dormers are planned there.
The kitchen is integrated into the main room.
In their place, the ladies get their own toilet.
As is well known, the village linden tree has to be felled and the village well relocated for the cultivation.
The latter was created as a meeting point thanks to the commitment of the former Farchach councilor Wolfgang Reiser.
And now it should be squeezed into the 1.30 meter long ledge between the old and new building?
QUH councilor Harald Kalinke was amazed at this.
“Is that what the Farchacher want?” He asked.
So far, he has not heard anything to the contrary and Reiser has nothing against the new location, replied Doll.
Katrin Stefferl-Wuppermann (Greens) asked again about the linden tree: “Can it be implemented?” He couldn't imagine that, answered Doll.
Kalinke, who is familiar with such things by profession, agreed: “It's very expensive and there is no guarantee that the root ball will grow.

The costs for the extension and conversion are set in the budget for the coming year.
