(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 03 - "This edition of the Med revolves around the concept of transition. In fact, we are living in a moment of profound changes and great challenges, including the pandemic and the effects of the withdrawal from Afghanistan: two events that have discussion of some important paradigms of international relations. The Mediterranean represents, in its turn, an area affected by a series of transitions - geopolitical, security, economic and social - which need to confirm strategic centrality on a global level ".
This was said by Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio in the opening speech of the 7th edition of the Med Dialogues Conference in Rome.
