(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 03 - "The spirit of the Med Dialogues is to indicate a positive agenda for the Mediterranean because we do not want a threatening Mediterranean, but one of peace": said Giampiero Massolo, president of ISPI (organizer together with the Farnesina) , opening the seventh edition of the MedDialogues in Rome, which today and tomorrow will see meetings and debates between political leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, exponents of civil society.
"Seeking a positive agenda is particularly important today," Massolo explained, a moment in which the region is intransigent, with many structural obstacles that do not favor this commitment.
"But this must not limit our ambition. Which is not to offer solutions, but to bring together leaders, companies, public companies. We would like to indicate a method: focus on problems, support governments in synthesis, in decisions".
In the inaugural session, after Massolo's speech, it was the turn of Prime Minister Mario Draghi, invideo link, followed by Foreign Minister Luigi DiMaio.
