Mexico is "assuming the obligations of the United States" by allowing certain migrants who request refuge in the United States to remain in Mexican territory pending a response, said professor and analyst on migration issues Javier Urbano.
The specialist adds that the Mexican government assumed this responsibility because "it is sadly cornered by its circumstances."
