The appeal is limited to the sentence handed down.

The family of the victim "shocked" by the sentence
The main suspect, a minor aged 15 at the time of the facts, was sentenced on Friday November 26 in Rouen, during a closed-door trial, to 12 years of criminal imprisonment for the murder of Olivier Quenault in 2019. Le prosecutor's office had required 18 years.
A socio-judicial follow-up for five years and a ban on holding a weapon for seven years had also been decided.
During the trial which opened on Wednesday November 24 before the juvenile court ruling on criminal matters, the young man expressed "
regret
" while denying being the author of the fatal blows, Laura Kalfon told AFP. his lawyer, and Fabien Picchiottino, the victim's family lawyer.

The young man tried "
